Kotaro Takahashi / Founder and President

Kotaro is the founder of Kenndo Management and assumed the presidency after working for JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan) for about 10 years.

During his career at JICA, he served with responsibility for aid planning, technical assistance project formulation, management, and evaluation in the area of economic policy, finance, legal and judicial reform and governance, mainly in Southeast Asian Countries. He also served as an official on assignment in the Economic Cooperation Bureau of MOFA with responsibility for Japan’s aid policy in Sub-Sahara Africa.

Using the knowledge and expertise he has accumulated in the former positions. Kotaro supports SMEs in formulating concrete and realistic overseas business plans and implementing the operations.

He earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA2) degree from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in 2002 and a Master of Economics degree from the University of Tokyo in 1996.

Hideki Kino / Executive Director

Hideki has 30 years of experience as an advisor for SMEs across the country, mainly in the area of agriculture, fisheries, and food product development. Taking advantage of the knowledge and expertise in those sectors, he has formulate plans and implemented numerous projects for promoting the business of SMEs, using the supporting fund from the Ministry of Agriculture or other supporting agencies.

Throughout his career, he has accumulated strong knowledge and expertise on SMEs business and also has repeatedly realized the magnificence of the technologies and products of the SMEs. He is passionate for bringing SMEs technologies overseas and has been implementing various projects in Laos, Indonesia, Myanmar, etc, mainly taking advantage of a JICA’s supporting scheme for SMEs introduced since 2012.

Misato Ota / Executive Director

Misato has 10 years of experience working overseas. After graduating university, she joined a Japanese company based in Mexico in as a marketing and PR officer. She then moved to Oregon in the United States and accumulated experiences as a web creator.

After joining Kenndo Management, she works as a SME consultant and conducts market research, negotiation with local government or business partners, and field trip or feasibility study on the ground in Kenya, Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand, etc.

She is fluent in Spanish and English.

Yasuko Komaru / Senior Manager

After working at the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE), Yasuko joined Kendo Management.

She specializes in JICA project work adjustment and settlement processing, and handles all project management that occurs between public and private sectors and companies.

She supervises all the projects’ administrative tasks.

Kota Iwaki / Manager

Kota has nearly 10 years of overseas experience, especially in developing countries such as Egypt, Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Pakistan, Malaysia and Philippines.

He has worked for Japanese NGO, Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without borders) and UNHCR and has devoted himself especially to medical activities and refugee protection.

After joining Kenndo Management, he is passionate about disseminating products and technologies of SMEs which can be effective in solving social and economic challenges in developing countries and manages wide range of projects in Asia and Africa regions.

He earned a Master's Degree in International Law and Settlement of Disputes from University for PEACE and Bachelor's degree in Law from Kwansei Gakuin University.

Miyuki Enta / Assistant Manager

After working as an IT engineer in Japan, Miyuki joined Kenndo Management Co., Ltd.

After studying and working in Indonesia, she has acquired deep understanding of Indonesian businesses and culture.

She manages administrative tasks and project management, especially in Indonesia and Vietnam.

Shingo Okubo / Corporate Lawyer

He belongs UC Berkeley Law School as Senior Scholar and Vasco Da Gama Offices as Lawyer admitted in Japan, after working for Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan as Diplomat, and University of Yangon (Myanmar) Department of Law as Visiting Associate Professor.

He earned Juris Doctor (J.D.) at Law School, Keio University in 2008.

Munenori Tada / Policy Advisor

After 10 years of working for Nippon Koei (an engineering consulting firm), he worked for KRI International Corp (the affiliate company of Nippon Koei) for 22 years. In 2017 he retired KRI and moved to Kenndo Management Co., Ltd.

In the era of Nippon Koei, he was, as a project economist, engaged in the different type of JICA/ADB infrastructural projects in the areas of agriculture, port development, water supply, urban development and special economic zone. While during his registration of KRI, he made his career in industrial studies of developing countries, SME development, PPP project finance and JICA scheme of supporting Japan's SMEs in overseas business.

Graduated in the faculty of economics of Chuo University in 1976, acquired the post graduate diploma of economics in London School of Economics in 1982 and the master degree of development economics in School of Oriental and African Studies in 1983.

His theme in further career development will be how to promote overseas business of the Japan’s domestic industries such as medical services/equipment and recycling businesses in terms of finance, public-private partnership and human development.
